My journey as a travel photographer has been a funny one.  As a kid, my parents used to take my sister and me to beautiful places all over India but I always wanted to be home and enjoy watching my favourite TV shows. As I grew up, I started realizing that you learn a lot about a place and about yourself when you travel.

About Photography, I bought my first smartphone with my savings in 2013, started clicking pictures with that and haven’t looked back ever since. Photography for me is all about storytelling, with my photos I like to show people the emotion behind the shot. I believe in taking simple pictures that have the power of explaining themselves to the ones who see them.

It is not easy being consistent and my biggest enemy to date is laziness but life is unpredictable. A thing that you have now can go away if you start taking it for granted. Even today when I pick up my camera, though it has been five years since I started, I always try to do my best with each shot. Hard-work and a little bit of luck can take you places. If you love what you do and even if it’s an unstable form of earning, you’ll feel contentment in the end.

Like everyone, my journey has been filled with highlights and downfalls but I never let it affect me for more than one day. One should always focus on carving their own niche. Don’t look at what others are doing. There will always be someone who can do a better job than what you’re doing right now, The goal is to keep bettering yourself, one step at a time and no one can stop you from growing. It might take time but patience and a little belief in yourself is key to a happy and successful life.

I have been very lucky throughout my journey. I have a very supportive family and group of friends. My Instagram family have always been appreciative of my work and that is what keeps me going. I think I’m still very far from what I want to achieve in life. But I believe in the present and don’t think too much about the future. It’s always about completing current goals and doing it wholeheartedly!
