Song Recommendation- Everybody Makes It Through by Led Zeppelin
An acquaintance bought this book at a Meet-&-Greet session with the said author. I, being a reader with zero self-control, purchased it too. After reading the book, I couldn’t stop cursing the aforementioned acquaintance, two days of that and getting my emotions under control, I couldn’t thank that person enough. The book is so subtly beautiful, it is astounding.

From the first page itself, the book has you hooked. You can almost feel the early morning fresh air and smell the hot cup of coffee. The book is about human relationships, failures- of these humans, and of these relationships. It’s a lesson on why it is important to burn some bridges to move forth in life, how some relationships can’t be defined by a label, and how some bonds are inexplicably strong. It is a story about why it is important to forgive people. In one word, the book is about –“Attraversiamo” which means ‘crossing over’.

All the characters have a back-story, which is beautifully intertwined, just like the fate of the characters. The characters all look out for each other, forging relationships that are more than blood-bound, help each other grow, and learn that sometimes the easiest way to move-on is by taking help from your loved ones.
It’s the story of a young girl running away from her past which made her give up on the idea of love altogether, and of a boy who lived his entire life hating his mother, who he later finds out, was merely trying to protect him. And how these two broken souls, coming from past and families that inexplicably broke them, heal each other and teach each other to hold on, and let go.
It is the non-romantic kind of love story, the kind that fills you with warmth.
The book is simple, and perfect to curl up with on a lazy, sunny winter morning. It is the non-romantic kind of love story, the kind that fills you with warmth. If you’re looking for some catharsis, this book might just do the trick for you.
